Turkey vs UK dental costs in 2026: a worked comparison
Headline savings are easy to quote and hard to trust. Here is one full-mouth case worked through with sourced figures and the costs people forget.
For full-mouth implants on both jaws, a UK private quote based on the 2017 Dentistry.co.uk survey average would be about £26,850 before scans, extractions and grafts. Precious Dental’s published All-on-6 price for both jaws is £6,500, including hotel, transfers and extractions. Add two return flights for one person and some spending money, and the trip cost is still far lower, but compare like with like and keep a budget for extras and UK aftercare.
“Save up to 70%” is a common line on clinic websites. Sometimes it is true; often it compares a basic Turkish price with the most expensive UK one. This guide does one comparison properly, for the case where the savings matter most: a full mouth of fixed implant teeth.
The case
A patient in their sixties with failing teeth in both jaws, wanting fixed teeth rather than dentures. A dentist recommends a full arch on implants, top and bottom.
The UK side
There is no official UK price list for private implants. The most cited figure is a 2017 survey of more than 25 UK implant dentists published by Dentistry.co.uk: a full arch on implants averaged £13,425 per jaw, with fees from £9,000 to £25,400. Those fees excluded consultations, scans, extractions and grafts.
- Both jaws at the survey average: £26,850, at 2016–17 prices.
- Plus scans, extractions and any grafts, which the survey excluded.
- No travel.
The NHS offers implants only rarely. NHS Band 3 in England (£332.10) covers dentures, crowns and bridges, not full-arch implants.
The Turkey side
Precious Dental, our top pick and the publisher of this register, publishes one price for All-on-6 on both jaws: £6,500. It includes the implants, zirconia teeth, a titanium bar, temporary teeth, extractions, hotel for four nights and five nights on the two trips, airport and clinic transfers, X-rays and medicines. Flights are extra.
| Item | Cost | Note |
|---|---|---|
| All-on-6, both jaws | £6,500 | Published package price |
| Flights, two return trips | Your quote | Varies by airport and season |
| Spending money and meals | Your estimate | Hotel is included |
| Possible extras | £150 per 1cc graft, £350 per sinus lift | Only if the scan shows they are needed |
| A companion’s flights | Your quote | Recommended for older patients |
Costs people forget
- Time off work for two trips of about a week.
- A soft diet and care at home between trips.
- UK aftercare: check-ups and hygiene visits for life. You would need these after UK treatment too.
- Travel insurance that suits a trip for treatment. See travel insurance for dental treatment.
- A contingency for a repair trip, depending on your guarantee.
What is not a fair comparison
- A Turkish price per jaw against a UK price for both jaws, or the reverse.
- Acrylic teeth against zirconia.
- Four implants against six.
- An unknown brand against a known one.

Common questions
Is the UK survey figure current?
No. It is from 2017 and is the most widely cited published figure we know of. Current UK quotes are likely higher. Get a real quote from a UK dentist to compare.
Does the NHS pay for any of it?
No. The NHS does not reimburse dental treatment abroad, and implants are rarely available on the NHS.
Do I need two flights?
For implants with permanent teeth, usually yes: one trip for the implants, one for the final teeth three to six months later.
